Following the formation of Cheshire East Council
the CAB service in Cheshire East is delivered
co-operatively between two
bureaux.
- Cheshire East CAB North
serves the people of the old Borough
of
Macclesfield which now incorporates the 4 Local Area Partnerships in
the north
of Cheshire East (Knutsford, Wilmslow,
Macclesfield and Poynton areas).
- Cheshire East CAB
serves the people of the old
Boroughs of
Congleton and Crewe & Nantwich which now incorporates the 3
Local Area
Partnerships in the centre and south (Congleton, Crewe and Nantwich areas).
The two bureaux work closely together to ensure
standard levels of
delivery for the front-line one stop shop advice service and for
follow-on
specialist advice in debt, welfare benefits and employment. Both
bureaux
provide advocacy for mental health service users. The bureaux work in
partnership with other advice agencies to the benefit of clients.
